Custom Car Show & Shine
Over seventy cars, trucks, jeeps, bikes, and quads were put on display on the front lawn of the YRHS on June 4 -- all vying for the various awards including best body, best shine, best interior, best engine, and the People's Choice.
Solos, duets, dramatical readings, choirs, rock bands, and a naive princess who took off for Hawaii, leaving her daughter in the hands of an enchantress, the devil, and Rumplestiltskin simultaneously -- our Talent Show had it all!
SK High School Business Case Competition
Congratulations goes out to Caleigh Grunert, Adam Wyonzek, and Meghan Zielinski for winning second place in the Social Competition. The trio were great ambassadors for the YRHS.
Born To Be Wild By YRHS Drama
Enjoy a great night out with the drama team. Watch an amazing preformance of the play "Born to be Wild" and follow it up with some tasty desserts. Preformances on April 16 and 17 at 7:00 in the Anne Portnuff Theatre. Tickets availible from the YRHS office for $10.
Cheerleaders Win Provincials
After months of long hard practice the Cheer Team finaly got to show their stuff on the provincial level. The best part about it is that they won the whole thing!

YRHS Educational Tour to Italy
A group of 15 students had the chance to go to Italy over the February break. From walking through the unearthed streets of Pompeii to pizza cooking classes in Florence, students had a great time and represented the Land of Orange well. Thanks to all who participated!

Congratulations to all this year's magazine campaign winners and a big thank-you to everyone who worked hard to make the campaign a success! Together the school was able to make over $50,000 in sales. Thank-you!

Your Answer 2 Bright Futures! Students enjoyed many activities and interactive displays provided by a wide variety of post-secondary institutes and business employers at the recent career fair held jointly by the GSSD and Parkland College.

Student of Distinction
As part of Education Week, the YRHS took some time out to "Celebrate and Support Success". Caleigh Grunert was awarded the GSSD Student of Distinction for her many accomplishments and contributions to school and community.
